My mom took my sister and I to see the play Secrets of a Black Boy Tuesday night and to be honest (and not offensive), I expected more than what I saw.The way my peers hyped up the play, I expected more laughs, more insight, more depth... pretty much more everything!! I don't want to take anything away from the actors or Darren's vision for his play but for me, I didn't feel like I truly got a look at the mind of a black man. Again, the overall play was good so, I hope my opinion doesn't discourage anyone from seeing it for themselves!
